  • The meeting will be held from 29th to 30th of June 2018 at Atheneum Gedanense Novum at Medical University of Gdańsk (MUG).
  • During two days there will be six sessions with lectures and oral presentations, poster sessions and visit to the Museum of Medical University of Gdańsk.
  • The official language of the 5th Meeting on History of Pathology is English.
  • The oral and poster sessions will concern wide aspects of history of pathology, neuropathology, veterinary pathology and medicine, as well as Polish input into development of medical sciences.
  • Everyone interested in history of medicine and pathology is warmly welcome.
  • All abstracts and awarded presentations will be published.
  • Best posters presented will be awarded by the WGHP ESP.


Gdańsk, with its  thousand-year history is located by the Baltic Sea.  In the past it was at  the crossroads of important commercial and communication routes, an extensive port with  mercantile traditions. All this had made Gdańsk a meeting place of many cultures and nationalities.

Today  it is a living and colourful city, one of the most attractive places to visit in Europe, with many interesting places and venues about art, history, science  and much more.

In June the usual temperature varies from 15 to 25 degrees  C.


Attending the Meeting will give You the opportunity to learn more about Gdańsk, Pomerania region and Poland.

The presentations will last from 10 to 15 minutes depending on prior information from the speaker.
